ICIMOD has granted funding support to ESON for Development of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Network (MAPs-Net) Nepal. The project will run for six months and will focus mainly on the e-database preparation, which will be available for stakeholders and general public. The main output of the work will be the assemblage of the scattered data related to Medicinal and Aromatic Plants of Nepal and make an easy access mechanism of gathered data for all. For the first phase of MAPs-Net, 36 medicinal plants have been selected on the basis of high use value, high trade value, commercially threatened and mostly cited species in MAP literatures. The list of the plants is given below. The necessary information of these selected plants is being collected from different sources which will be available in the web version soon.
